Leadership (Elders)

Lakeside Church is a team or body ministry church. There is no hierarchy as such. We see all members as equal of importance and value. However, to run a church there needs to be those that lead and are appointed for such a position; the bible calls them elders or pastors. They are men that aim to reflect the qualities found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and are called to preach, teach and instruct the body in the things of God.

At present the leadership of Lakeside Church comes under the banner of Crestwood Church and will do so until it becomes independent.

Andy Hodson

Andy is married to Isobel and has three girls; Sophie, Chloe and Bethany. Andy is on the leadership team at Crestwood and is responsible for the Church plant at Lakeside. He is from a Brethren background having godly parents who were keen to bring him up loving the Word of God. Andy is passionate to see people come to Jesus and to take them forward in their Christian life.

Andy trained and worked as a landscape gardener for 15 years before being called into ministry to plant Churches. Crestwood was the first Church plant that he pioneered with a vision for many others.

Andy's hobbies include sports, outdoor pursuits and nature.

Alan Dodd

Alan DoddAlan has been in church leadership for many years with his previous church; Wall Heath Evangelical Free Church. He became a Christian as a teenager and has served God through youth work, music and schools work. He has been involved in various forms of outreach but mainly door to door work (Alan is affiliated to Home Evangelism) as well as pastoral ministry. Alan spent much of his life teaching secondary school children in science and music but now splits his time with his own piano tuition business and Crestwood Church to which he was one of the pioneers alongside Andy and Isobel Hodson, Janet and Trevor Shackleton, and Jane Goudie.
